MEMORIAL TO JEWS FALLEN IN THE 1912-1918 WARS
In 1929, two black marble plaques were built into the wall of Dupnitsa's synagogue to commemorate local Jews who had died in the 1912-1918 wars. In 2008 the City Council erected them next to the Youth Home, the Communist structure that occupies the plot where the former synagogue used to be. In the past they have been vandalised and sprayed with swastikas, but are now clean.
In 2021, the local council decided to move the local history museun in the former Youth Home.
