JEWISH TOMBSTONES AT BELYOVA CHURCH

Just a couple of kilometres out of Samokov is the famous Orthodox Belyova Church, thought to be the city's oldest. The floor of the covered water fountain in its yard is paved with a collection of Muslim and Jewish tombstones. Some of them still bear their original funerary engravings.
